Need to Miss a Class?
Please Let Us Know in Advance
Classes must be canceled before the scheduled class in order to be eligible for a make-up.
Make-ups are not available for missed classes without prior notice.
If you know you’ll be away, please let us know as early as possible so we can help you find the best option.
Missing a Public Class?
If you need to miss a class, please cancel in advance to keep your make-up eligibility.
The number of guaranteed make-ups depends on the length of your enrollment:
→ 8 Weeks or Fewer
1 guaranteed make-up per semester
→ 9 Weeks or More
2 guaranteed make-up per semester
Good to know: We’re often able to accommodate additional make-ups when space is available, even beyond your guaranteed number.
How Can I Use My Make-Up?
→ Join Another Class
This is our preferred option! If space is available, we can schedule you into another class at your usual location or a nearby location.
→ Transfer Your Spot
Can’t make class but know someone who can? You may give or sell your spot to a friend. You can use this option as often as needed, as long as the transfer is arranged before class.
→ Receive Account Credit
If another class isn’t an option, an eligible make-up can be added to your account as credit.
Credits can be used toward future classes or events, including birthday parties. Account credits are limited to the number of guaranteed make-ups included with your enrollment.
Please note: Public class make-up policies do not apply to Union Square Play or The Bramble. These locations follow their own policies.
Need to Cancel a Drop-In?
Plans changed? No problem. Drop-in classes can be canceled in advance for a partial refund.
$5 Cancellation Fee Per Class
Please let us know before your scheduled class whenever possible.
Need to Cancel the Rest of Your Semester?
If you need to cancel the remainder of your semester booking, we’ll issue a partial refund for the remaining balance.
A 10% cancellation fee will be applied to the remaining balance.

Missing a Private Class?
Because private classes are reserved specifically for your group, make-ups and account credits are not available for missed private sessions.
But there may still be a couple of options:
→ Join a Public Class
If you’re able to attend a nearby public class, we can check availability for you. This isn’t guaranteed, but we’ll always do our best to accommodate when space allows.
→ Transfer Your Spot
Know ahead of time that you’ll miss your private class? With the host’s approval, you may transfer your spot to a friend. Please confirm with the host before arranging the transfer.
What If We Have to Cancel?
Sometimes weather, teacher illness, or another unexpected situation means we need to cancel a class.
If Ramblin’ Dan’s Freewheelin’ Band cancels a class, any applicable refund will be issued minus the 3% non-refundable credit card processing fee, which is typically around $1 per class.
