LOCATION IN STUYVESANT TOWN
Playground 3 on "Nice Weather Days"
Inside at "Oval Kids" on "Bad Weather Days"
A lot of people have trouble finding class the first day in the parks, so please look at the MAP ahead of time!
In general, try to arrive 5-10 minutes early to find Evan and set up your blanket.
Playground 3 Directions (nice weather days).
Playground 3 is Located in the Northeast Corner of the Stuyvesant Town complex. It is closest to the 20th street Entrance.
The playground gate requires a keycard, so if possible please arrive before class begins so Evan can let you in the gate without interrupting class (but no worries if you have to arrive late :)
Again, on rainy days, we will hold class indoors at "Oval Kids" which is located in the South East corner of the "Stuyvesant Oval."
Call your Bandleader if you need help finding class.
Evan's Number is 410-830-9640
Come 5 minutes early to find him and set up your blanket.
If you can't find or reach your teacher by phone you can also try out office numbers, but please try Evan first at 410-830-9640
Office Phone 1: 646-906-1917
Office Phone 2: 860-933-0197
THIS CLASS WILL BE OUTDOORS WHENEVER POSSIBLE, BUT WHEN THE WEATHER REQUIRES IT WE WILL HOLD CLASS INDOORS.
-No masks are needed for anybody when outdoors.
-We ask everyone to bring their own outdoor blankets and set them up in a circle around your bandleader in a social distanced fashion.
-Dress appropriately for the weather.
-No children need to wear a mask.
-We will ask all adults EXCEPT the teacher to wear a mask. The teacher may wear a mask if so inclined, but for the most part our teachers will not wear a mask as it is very important for the kids to see their mouths when they sing and talk to aid in learning language and also to get facial cues.
FYI - looking forward to winter -our "indoors only" winter semester in 2023, we may be mask optional for all, but as we hope to do most classes outdoors in this fall semester, this is a good compromise to help everyone feel comfortable to sign up, even those who are nervous about doing classes inside occasionally. If you have any questions, please do reach out.
What to Bring!
We supply instruments at class if you wish to use ours.
Otherwise you should bring your own instruments for your kids to jam on such as Shakers, drums, bells, tambourines etc.
-A comfy waterproof outdoor blanket to sit on (Outdoor Classes only)
-Sunscreen, sunglasses & a sunhat for your little one just in case (though we always try to be in the shade unless it's cold)
-Masks (indoor classes only and only for for Adults)
This class is being taught by Bandleader Evan!
This class will be taught by Bandleader Evan! Evan is such a fantastic teacher Dan hired him TWICE, once for “Ramblin’ Dan” and once eight years ago for another program Dan used to manage! His vast experience includes teaching four different children’s music programs and he even designed his own yoga program for toddlers! Evan has an infectious energy coupled with a nurturing soft side that easily wins kids over. Not to mention, this guy can play! Evan is an outstanding guitarist, pianist and singer and is always involved with multiple musical projects. A creative force, he is fresh off finishing a grant for writing music in Charleston, South Carolina, and just returned to NYC to work on a podcast featuring his own original literature. We’re thrilled to have him leading classes for us!

Whether it's a fever, cough or a runny nose, if you have any sign of sickness you MUST stay home. The teacher will do the same.
